Join Skinny Skis of Jackson WY for the annual Avalanche Awareness Night at Snow King Resort on December 6th, 2012. Featured speakers include presentations from Don Sharaf of the American Avalanche Institute as well as Jim Woodmeney of Mountain Weather, Teton Pass Ambassador Jay Pistano, Bob Comey of the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center and AJ Wheeler of Teton County Search and Rescue.
Also featured at this years event will be a special presentation in tribute to Steve Romeo and Chris Onufer who were tragically taken last year in an avalanche.
Featured Speaker: Drew Hardesty
The featured speaker is Drew Hardesty, forecaster at the Utah Avalanche Center. His presentation looks at the past, present and future of backcountry skiing. Stay tuned for more information about the event and we’ll look forward to seeing on December 6th at Avalanche Awareness Night.
