Your financial support helps provide the public with information about avalanche conditions. Our organization promotes fundraising initiatives that enable the professionals in the avalanche center to move forward. Over the last decade, Friends of the Bridger-Teton National For­est Avalanche Cen­ter has played a cru­cial role in sup­port­ing the Bridger-Teton National For­est Avalanche Cen­ter both financially and strategically. Dur­ing that time, demand for the Center’s ser­vices greatly increased. Fund­ing from the Friends has enabled the center to:

  • Extend­ the length of the fore­cast sea­son ear­lier and later

  • Cre­at­ a new web-based Google Map dis­play of events.

  • Main­tain and oper­at­e remote auto­mated weather sta­tions.

  • Giv­e pub­lic avalanche aware­ness pre­sen­ta­tions.

  • Provide edu­ca­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties for avalanche fore­cast­ers.

  • Pur­su­e and obtain fund­ing from grants and private donations.
